Chocolate, fruit and nut cookies recipe



Recipe for chocolate, fruit and nut cookies in our easy vegetarian recipes collection.

Recipe ingredients

  • 3/4 cup caster sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegan margarine
  • 5 tablespoons of soya milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful each of: chocolate chips, chopped nuts and raisins

How to make chocolate, fruit and nut cookies

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and grease cookie sheets.
  • Cream together the sugar and margarine.
  • Mix in the soya milk and vanilla and then the flour.
  • The mixing of the flour is best done with your hands.
  • Add the chocolate, nuts and raisins and mix well. You should have a workable dough.
  • Roll out on a floured board and cut into cookies.
  • Lay on cookie sheets and bake for about 10 minutes for soft bake cookies or a little longer for dryer, crunchy ones.
