Spinach balls recipe



Recipe for spinach balls in our easy vegetarian recipes collection.

Recipe ingredients

  • 2, 10 ounces, packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed
  • 1 package Stove-Top stuffing, mixed to package directions
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Dash nutmeg
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • Mustard sauce:
    • 1/3 cup dry mustard
    • 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 egg yolk

How to make spinach balls

  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Form into walnut sized balls.
  • Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 400 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes until firm.
  • 20 balls can be microwaved on medium-high for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with mustard sauce.
  • The spinach balls may be frozen either before or after baking.
  • Mustard sauce:
    • Combine all ingredients in saucepan and simmer until slightly thickened.
    • Can be covered and stored in refrigerator for up to a month.
