Yoghurt cake recipe



Recipe for yoghurt cake in our easy vegetarian recipes collection.

Recipe ingredients

  • 5/8 cup yoghurt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

How to make yoghurt cake

  • Mix everything together well.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Turn the mixture into a well greased cake pan measuring approximately 8 inch.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
  • Insert a knife to test and cook a little longer if necessary.
  • This is a good basic recipe with many variations.
  • To make an upside-down fruit cake sprinkle the bottom of the pan with brown sugar and lay sliced apples, pears or canned pineapple on the sugar, cover with the cake mixture and cook as directed.
